Disclosed are a panel unwrapping method and unwrapping apparatus. The method comprises: step 1: providing a panel unwrapping apparatus, the panel unwrapping apparatus comprising an extraction device (22) and a conveyance device (24), wherein the extraction device comprises a mechanical hand (222) and a sucker (224) provided at an end of the mechanical hand, and the conveyance device comprises a body, a mounting plate (241) mounted on the body, a needle (242) mounted on the mounting plate and a buffering apparatus (244) sheathed on the needle; step 2: moving the mechanical hand to directly above a glass panel, and moving the mechanical hand downwards close to the panel until the sucker at the end of the mechanical hand makes contact with the panel; step 3: suctioning the panel with the sucker and raising the panel by means of the mechanical hand; step 4: carrying the panel using the mechanical hand to directly above the conveyance device, moving the mechanical hand downwards close to the needle of the conveyance device until the panel makes contact with the needle; and step 5: the sucker releasing the panel so that the panel is stably borne on the needle of the conveyance device.
