Provided are a domain name authentication system and method based on biometric feature identification.The system comprises a biometric feature acquisition device, a domain name registration server and an authoritative organization database, etc.; firstly biometric feature information about a user is acquired through the biometric feature acquisition device, then the domain name registration server acquires previously acquired user information from the authoritative organization database, performs verification of the biometric feature information, then performs real-name registration of a domain name on the user information which has passed verification, and stores the registration information in a domain name registration database.The present invention introduces biometric feature automatic identification technology in a domain name system, can rapidly realize real-name audit and authentication, ensuring information security and domain-name security, and can be used from the aspects of domain-name record automation, automatic verification of credible web site information and the like.
