A cavitation detection device that detects the occurrence of cavitation in a liquid housing unit (2) inside a power plant, and comprises: an information accumulation means (50) that accumulates measurement data for pressure gauges (10, 20); a model construction means (60) that extracts, and constructs a model of, the correlation between measurement data from an inflow pressure gauge (10) and the measurement data from an outflow pressure gauge (20), from normal data; and a cavitation detection means (70) that detects a collapse in the correlation as an occurrence of cavitation, from the correlation extracted by the model construction means (60) and from the measurement data from the pressure gauges (10, 20).
