An information transmission method based on incidence and pumped amplification of light on a side surface of a rare earth element doped optical fibre, for realizing the transmission of large-capacity information between static objects or between objects with relative motion. The present invention projects laser information in an inclined manner onto the side surface of a rare earth element doped optical fibre (a light-transmittable coating layer), and a small amount of the laser information enters the rare earth element doped optical fibre and is transmitted along the optical fibre, the energy of which increases gradually under the affect of a pumping laser, reaches an optical device at the tail end of the optical fibre and is extracted for use. Since wireless laser communication is adopted to realize high-speed and large-capacity transmission of data in the present invention, the present invention has a strong anti-interference capability, and is suitable for various occasions requiring wireless transmission of information, such as medical examinations, industrial detection, traffic communication and the like.
