Provided is an image display device which, without requiring a specific application program for remote operation, allows for remote operation of a mobile terminal and improves workability. The image display device is provided with: a touch operation detecting unit for detecting a touch operation on a display screen of the display device; a cursor operation information generating unit for generating, on the basis of the touch operation and conforming to a predetermined communication system, a cursor movement instruction signal and a click instruction signal; a cursor operation information transmitting unit for transmitting the cursor movement instruction signal and the click instruction signal in accordance with the predetermined communication system; and a calibrating unit for acquiring calibration information so that a position specified by the touch operation on the display screen of the display device and a position of the cursor moved on the basis of the cursor movement instruction signal on a display screen of a mobile terminal device are relatively identical positions, using an image displayed on the display device and on the mobile terminal device as reference.
