The present invention relates to a method for operating a service for providing free gifts limited in number through the Internet connected via a wired or wireless communication network and allowing customers to check in real-time whether a free gift is won, wherein by providing the free gifts through a website and providing steps of entering for and winning a free gift, the customers can check in real-time whether the free gift is won, and by providing a simple step for entering for a free gift to thereby increase an access rate of the customers who enter for a free gift through the website by using user terminals, a website operator can: increase advertisement efficiency for corresponding free gifts, related products and the like, and the customers can check in real-time whether the free gift is won; elevate expectations of winning the gift with respect to the determination on the gift winning according to entering for a free gift; and directly receive the won free gift or hand over the won free gift to another person.
