The device has U-shaped left and right wings (8, 9) extending parallel to a lifting lug (2). An U-shaped deflector (21) has a core (10) joining ends of the wings extended outside to the lug and located at a place far away from the ear at distance (B) less than thickness of a lifting unit (11) of an object to be lifted when ends of the lifting unit are attached to the lug. The core is far away from a point (15) of through opening (6) of the lug nearest to a body (4) of the object to be lifted at distance greater than thickness of the lifting unit when the ends are attached to the lug. An independent claim is also included for a handling equipment.
