The subject of the present invention relates to an energy installation (100) designed to exploit a fluid flow (F), said energy installation (100) comprising: a) a system of gears (10) on which a transmission means (20) is mounted in a closed loop, said transmission means (20) being able to drive the rotation (R) of the system of gears (10) in order to produce motive power (EM), b) at least one wing structure (30) able to adopt at least two configurations (Cl, C2) including a first configuration (C1), called the active configuration, in which, when said at least one wing structure (30) is oriented in the direction (S) of the fluid flow (F), this wing structure (30) deploys to capture said flow (F), and a second configuration (C2), called the rest configuration, in which when said at least one wing structure (30) is oriented in the opposite direction to the direction (S) of the fluid flow (F), it folds up on itself.
