A small incision opening-holding apparatus for use in minimally invasive screw placement by a spinal posterior approach, comprising two intersectedly movably-connected retraction hook strips (1) and a spring (2). The retraction hook strips (1) comprise arc-shaped arms (3) and retraction hooks (4). Connecting ends of the arc-shaped arms (3) of the two retraction hook strips (1) are pivotally connected via a pin, while distal ends are connected to the retraction hooks (4). The retraction hooks (4) have one ends thereof perpendicularly connected to planes of the arc-shaped arms (3), and have the other ends bent inwards. The inwardly bent ends are provided at end faces thereof with crescent-shaped grooves (5). The spring (2) is arranged between the two arc-shaped arms (3). The apparatus is easy to operate, time-saving, and well accepted by physicians, and allows for reduced number of times of repeated exposure of an incision, shortens surgery time, and reduces tissue damages.
