The purpose of the present invention is to provide a route guide suitable of each individual situation of each user by giving comprehensive consideration to facilities and equipment in a building, the functions or states thereof, the attribute or authority of the user, or a destination to visit or the purpose of visit. The present invention provides a method for providing a route guide using building information modeling (BIM) data. This method comprises: preparing the BIM data, security information relating to a route, and a user profile of a user that uses the route guide; and in response to the setting of a destination in a building by the user, creating the route guide to the destination on the basis of the BIM data, the security information, and the user profile.
