PERSON SEARCH METHOD AND PLATFORM OCCUPANT SEARCH DEVICE

Provided is an intruder detection method which can be used with a simple rule for a wide range of applications. First, upon an inputted video, a registration of a normal similar face image search is carried out wherein a face image search, a feature value extraction, and a feature value database registration are carried out. Next, a face image which is automatically detected or manually designated from the inputted image is designated as a face image to be assessed. Next, a similar face image search over a limited period of time is carried out upon the feature value database. Next, a computation is made as to how many search results have the distance between the feature values less than or equal to a prescribed threshold (high similarity). If the search number is large, the number of times of appearance is assessed as large and the probability of wandering as high, whereas, if the search number is small, the number of times of appearance is assessed as small and the probability of wandering as low. Finally, a similarity between a face of a preregistered resident and the person with the large search number is computed, and if the similarity is high, the person is assessed to be the resident despite a prior assessment.
