Disclosed are a detonation system having a digital electronic detonator able to identify blast hole location and a control method thereof. The detonation system comprises a digital electronic detonator (2), a digital electronic detonator tag (1), blast holes (3), blast hole identification tags (4), a tag reader-writer (7), a blasting design module (5) and a detonation module (6). The tag reader-writer (7) establishes a correspondence relationship between each digital electronic detonator (2) and the position of each blast hole (3) and introduces same into the detonation module (6), a time delay required by each blast hole input in the blasting design module (5) is introduced into the detonation module (6), the detonation module (6) establishes a three-way correspondence relationship between detonator (2) identity information, the position of the blast hole (3) and the time delay and writes the time delay into the digital electronic detonator (2) for subsequent detonation to be carried out. The detonation system can solve problems such as working complexities, being very time consuming and malfunctions easily occurring in the process of laying a digital electronic detonator network. The control method involves simple steps, is not time consuming, and is highly efficient, reducing the malfunction rate on a blasting construction site, reducing the intensity of laborious tasks, and improving safety and reliability in blasting construction tasks.
