Pseudonocardia bacteria are new. An independent claim is included for treating an effluent comprising methyl tert-butyl ether and/or ethyl tert-butyl ether and optionally tert-butyl alcohol as a growth substrate comprising contacting the effluent with a bacterium in aerobic conditions.
