The present invention provides an optical observation device having a first optical axis and a second optical axis in a different direction from the first optical axis. The observation device includes a separation unit for separating the image light representing the image of an object to be observed into first light along the first optical axis and second light along the second optical axis; and a magnification unit for changing the optical magnification with respect to a first image represented by the first light and/or a second image represented by the second light. The separation unit includes a first area which receives the image light, and a second area which receives the image light adjacently to the first area. The first area and the second area partially transmit the image light to generate the first light. The first area partially reflects the image light to generate the second light.
