A SEALING SYSTEM PREFERABLY IN A SLIDE GATE ON THE SPOUT OF A METALLURGICAL VESSEL AND A SPOUT CASING

A sealing system preferable in a slide gate on the spout of a metallurgical vessel by means of which a refractory spout casing (1) can be connected to a refractory casting tube (3). The spout casing (1) projecting into the casting tube (3) and there being provided between the latter a casing-like seal (8) with a collar (9) lying on the face side of the casting tube (3') at the top. There is assigned to the spout casing (1) on the outside at least one sealing ring (11), which is positioned such that the latter can be pressed again the collar (9) of the seal (8) lying on the face side of the casting tube (3') at the top. With this sealing system is achieved a constructionally simple structure and perfect tightness between the spout casing (1) and the casting tube (3).
