Provided are: a quantitative analyzing method for an oxidant, said method enabling accurate, rapid and low-cost quantitative analysis of an oxidant; and a quantitative analyzing instrument for an oxidant, said instrument being for use in the method. This quantitative analyzing method for an oxidant is a method for analyzing an oxidant contained in a sample quantitatively through a redox reaction, said method comprising: adding one reducing agent to a sample solution which contains either one oxidant or multiple oxidants having different lifetimes; measuring absorbance change of the reducing agent with time after color change or color development to make an absorption curve; and conducting not only identification of the oxidant contained in the sample solution but also determination of the quantity of the oxidant on the basis of the absorption curve.
