The demodulator has a digital filter, which comprises a forward branch and a reverse branch, which is traversed by each of the digital sample value and comprises two successive state memories. The sampling frequency is an integral multiple of the frequency of the desired discrete spectral component. The ratio of the sampling frequency to the frequency of the desired discrete spectral component is exactly three.
