A high efficiency rotary inner combustion engine comprises: an engine rotor rotatively turning about a central shaft in a casing or cylinder; said engine rotor defining, with said cylinder, at least two opposite combustion chambers; each said chamber having a complex configuration delimited by a cavity similar to a hollow half-cylinder cavity merging with a cavity delimited by a radial flat wall formed in said rotor; at least a pair of radially extending bands housed in housing seats formed in a body of said rotor; said rotor comprising moreover a pair of axially extending bands.
