A simple method to denoise ratio images in magnetic resonance imaging.;The present invention discloses a Magnetic Resonance Imaging method comprising the steps of:- generating a MRI sequence designed for acquiring data from an object to be imaged, wherein said MRI sequence is configured for generating at least two different standard images, respectively a first standard image (P) and a second standard image (NP);- acquiring said two different standard images;- combining said two different standard images in a ratio image (S);characterized in that said ratio image (S) is obtained by calculating a ratio of the first standard image (P) and the second standard image (NP) that is tunable by a parameter γ wherein the parameter γ is automatically chosen for maximizing the negentropy of the ratio image (S).
