The present invention relates to an auxiliary power supply apparatus for a lifeboat of a submarine and a method for supplying auxiliary power to a lifeboat. The purpose of the present invention is to continuously and stably supply electric energy using continuously supplied waves on the surface of seawater when the drift of the lifeboat is extended, or all power of storage batteries loaded on the lifeboat is turned off in a distress situation. The auxiliary power supply apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a lever for converting the force of the waves to kinetic energy; a hinge mounted on the lever to laterally move the lever; a spring contracted and restored by the force of the waves; a contact pad attached to one end of the lever to apply the force when the spring is restored; a piezoelectric element for generating the electric energy by the impact of the force receiving from the contact pad; a pivot battery connected to the piezoelectric element by a wire to store electricity produced in the piezoelectric element; a control board connected to the pivot battery by a wire to control the electricity supplied from the pivot battery; and a charging device for supplying the electricity to all kinds of the storage batteries in the lifeboat to recharge.
