USE OF PHRYMA LEPTOSTACHYA VAR. ASIATICA HARA EXTRACT HAVING ANTI-INFLAMMATORY AND ANTI-OXIDATIVE ACTIVITIES

The present invention relates to a Phryma leptostachya L. var. asiatica Hara extract having anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative activities, more specifically a prevention or treatment composition for inflammation diseases containing a Phryma leptostachya L. var. asiatica Hara extract as an active component. The Phryma leptostachya L. var. asiatica Hara extract of the present invention has a nitric oxide (NO) generation suppression effect through suppressing the expression of iNOS, an anti-oxidative effect capable of removing active oxygen species (ROS) in cells, and a suppression effect of MMPs. The composition of the present invention containing the Phryma leptostachya L. var. asiatica Hara extract as an active component can effectively control inflammation, and used to inflammation diseases.
