The present invention relates to a near infrared absorption phthalocyanine compound of a novel structure which shows excellent light absorption efficiency in near infrared region (700-1100 nm) and is represented by chemical formula 1. The near infrared absorption phthalocyanine compound according to the present invention remains almost unchanged in a long-term usage, has excellent transmittance (transmittance in visible region (550 nm) when the transmittancy (T%) in maximum absorption wavelength is 10%) in visible region, and exhibits excellent absorption in near infrared region. Particularly, the near infrared absorption phthalocyanine compound provides excellent stability in heat-proof and wet-proof, thereby facilitating the manufacture of an optical filter containing the near infrared absorption phthalocyanine compound with excellent performance.
