A method and an apparatus for correcting errors for visible communication are disclosed. An embodiment of the present invention relates to an error correction method for the visible communication comprising: a step of generating a message encoded using the predetermined encoding method; a step of generating a brightness setting signal for setting the brightness of the visible light source; a step of calculating puncturing rates corresponding to the brightness setting signal; a step of puncturing the encoded message based on the puncturing rates; a step of generating the scrambled message by scrambling the punctured message; and a step of providing the scrambled message with the visible light source.
