PHOTOAGING PROTECTIVE COMPOSITION CONTAINING CHROMENES FROM SARGASSUM HORNERI

The present invention relates to a composition with photoaging protective effects on skin cells, containing chromenes derived from Sargassum horneri as an active ingredient. Specifically, Sargachromanol D and Sargachromanol E, which are isolated from brown algae Sargassum horneri, exhibit MMPs inhibitory activity, increase the expression of collagen synthetic marker such as procollagen and type I collagen in fibroblasts treated with UV-A, and increase elastin by regulation of elastase activity. Therefore, the chromenes derived from Sargassum horneri inhibit photoaging of skin cells to treat wrinkles due to UV, and thus are useful as materials and are used as cosmetics for treatment and prevention of skin wrinkles.
