PURPOSE: An apparatus for filtering the bad smell and the heavy metal of supernatant is provided to reduce the cost of maintenance and installation and prevent purifying process from being stopped by the cleaning of a filtering plant thanks to the fact that the cleaning cycle of the filtering plant is extended. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for filtering the bad smell and the heavy metal of supernatant comprises several filtering apparatuses (9) which are equipped in the same distance in a path that supernatant discharged by a settling pond is moved to a filtering plant. The filtering apparatus comprises an active carbon filter (8) which filters smell and heavy metal. The filtering apparatus comprises a frame (91) of which some part is formed in a triangular way, an iron net (92) which fixes the opening part of the frame and a filter fixing device (93) which is equipped on the front part of the frame to allow the active carbon filter to be fixed in a detachable way.
