Dual SPECT/MRI contrast agent and a process for the preparation thereof

PURPOSE: A compound which contains radioactive isotopes and paramagnetic elements and is used as a single photon emission computed tomography/magnetic resonance imaging (SPECT/MRI) dual contrast agent is provided to be used as a contrast agent for MRI and a nuclear medical imaging instrument without toxicity to human body and to effectively diagnose cancer. CONSTITUTION: A compound is denoted by chemical formula 1. The compound has a structure of chemical formula 1a. A method for preparing the compound comprises the steps of: reacting a compound of chemical formula 3 with a compound of chemical formula 4; and labeling a meta site of tyrosine of Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) with iodine.
