PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of truncated octahedron shaped platinum cobalt nano alloys is provided to improve catalytic activities in electro chemical properties. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of truncated octahedron shaped platinum cobalt nano alloys comprises the following steps: dissolving a platinum precursor, a cobalt precursor, a surface stabilizer, and a reducing agent into a solvent; obtaining truncated octahedron shaped PtCo nanoalloy by heating the solution under an inter gas condition; obtaining truncated octahedron shaped PtCo nanoalloy catalyst by absorbing the truncated octahedron shaped PtCo nanoalloy to a carbon supporter; and eliminating the surface stabilizer from the truncated octahedron shaped PtCo nanoalloy catalyst.
