PURPOSE: An adaptive dynamic quadrature demodulating apparatus and a method thereof are provided to use a harmonic center frequency, thereby improving the quality of image. CONSTITUTION: A polynomial fitting portion (322) estimates center frequency of harmonic for each depth section. The polynomial fitting portion determines center frequency of the harmonic for each depth section. A dynamic quadrature demodulating portion produces in-phase component and quadrature component by a reception signal. The production uses the center frequency. A dynamic low-pass filter unit (311) low-pass filters the in-phase and quadrature components.
