The present invention relates to a device for joining a liner of a side guide utilized for a finishing mill to firmly fix the liner to a frame of the side guide utilized for a finishing mill and easily exchange the liner in maintenance; and a method for joining the liner. The present invention couples a first nut to a screw part of a bolt projecting to the outer surface of the guide frame while coupling the liner to the inner surface of the side guide frame utilized for a finishing mill with a bolt and doubly couples a second nut having male and female screw parts so that the liner is firmly fixed to the frame. The present invention reduces time required for maintenance as the liner can be easily exchanged by releasing the first and second nuts when exchanging the liner, thereby improving productivity of a thick plate.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014
