The present invention relates to a reinforcing bar which is provided to apply pre-stress to concrete by being buried in advance inside a concrete structure, in which the crack may occur, after being manufactured, thereby preventing crack in the concrete from being generated after the concrete is placed, wherein the reinforcing bar is pre-stressed in a manufacturing process by creep properties which generate compressive deformation toward the direction to which pressure is applied over time; and a method for preventing crack in concrete, using the reinforcing bar. The reinforcing bar for preventing crack in concrete according to the present invention comprises: a hollow rod (10) which is composed of a hollow member and in which compressive deformation occurs over time when a compressive force is applied in a longitudinal direction; a tendon (20) which is inserted into the hollow rod (10) and which is tensed; and end fixating members which are combined with both ends of the tendon (20) respectively and which fixates the tensed tendon (20) to make the tensible force applied as a compressive force to the hollow rod (10). The method bar for preventing crack in concrete, using the reinforcing bar, is provided to have the reinforcing bar buried inside the concrete permanently, thereby preventing crack in the concrete.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014
