The present invention relates to pharmaceutical and food compositions for preventing and treating metabolic syndrome containing an extract of unripe Rubus coreanus fruit as an effective component, and more specifically, to a composition for preventing and treating metabolic syndrome containing an extract of unripe Rubus coreanus fruit which controls the expression of lipid metabolism related genetic factors and enzymes; reduces the body weight, fat, and saccharide tolerance; reduces neutral lipid (TG), cholesterol, and LDL-cholesterol; increases HDL-cholesterol; controls fatty liver; and promotes the blood circulation, thereby being practically used for preventing and treating metabolic syndrome causing cerebrovascular diseases and heart attack.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014
