The present invention relates to a secondary battery module and, more specifically, to a secondary battery module having a heat exchanging unit and a cooling method of the same to pre-heat or cool a battery module having multiple battery cells. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a secondary battery module having a heat exchanging unit and a cooling method of the same to pre-heat or cool the battery module using a Peltier element; and to cool a battery only in the peak heating the battery by applying the Peltier element as an auxiliary unit for air-cooling or water-cooling when cooling the battery module.
