The present invention relates to a current limiter and, more specifically, to a magnetic flux-lock type superconducting fault current limiter capable of limiting a peak current using two superconducting elements adequate for limiting currents using a magnetic coupling between coils wound around an iron core and a quench phenomenon of the superconducting element. The current limiter comprises: an iron core member composed of first and second outer horizontal iron cores, a pair of center horizontal iron cores, and first to fourth vertical iron cores, wherein a first iron core having a first through-hole therein is parallel-coupled with a second iron core having a second through-hole therein; a first winding wound around the center horizontal iron core; a second winding connected to the first winding; a third winding wound around the second outer horizontal iron core; a first superconducting element connected to the second winding; and a second superconducting element connected to the third winding.
