APPARATUS FOR TOPOLOGY MANAGEMENT IN MOBILE AD-HOC NETWORK AND METHOD THEREOF

The present invention relates to an apparatus for topology management in a mobile Ad-Hoc network and a method thereof. The apparatus for topology management comprises a source node transmitting packet data, a destination node receiving the packet data, at least one relay node positioned on a transmission link between the source node and the destination node to deliver the packet data, a plurality of link nodes connecting the nodes and forming the transmission link, and at least one unmanned unit moving to a link node with the lowest packet delivery ratio among the link nodes to add a new link node according to a request from the relay node or the destination node if the overall data transmission ratio of the transmission link is below a preset reference data transmission ratio. In addition, the apparatus performs a step of adding or removing at least one unmanned unit operating as a mobile relay to or from a link node with the lowest packet delivery ratio among the link nodes existing between the source node and the destination.
