The present invention relates to a system for supplying brine and base oil with a backup function, and a backup supplying method for brine and base oil, which can easily operate a brine pump and a base oil pump for mutual backup due to the same flow rate and head and only a difference in a motor power according to the characteristics of a fluid, and can stably supply brine and base oil for drilling even during failure of either the brine pump or the base oil pump. The system for supplying brine and base oil with a backup function comprises: a brine supplying unit (110) which supplies brine by a brine pump (112) from a brine tank (111); a base oil supplying unit (120) which supplies base oil by a base oil pump (122) from a base oil tank (121); a brine backup line (130) which provides a path for supplying the brine from the brine tank (111) to the base oil pump (122); and a base oil backup line (140) which provides a path for supplying the base oil from the base oil pump (121) to the brine pump (112).
