The present invention relates to a sensor node and a slot assignment method of the same in a wireless sensor network, and a sink node and a slot assignment method of the same in a wireless sensor network for reliably transmitting a broadcast message. A sensor node in a wireless sensor network according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a message receiving unit receiving, from a parent node, a broadcast slot demand (BSD) assigning message including slot assignment information for slots assigned to the sensor node itself, where the slot assignment information includes a sensor node identifier and a start location of the slots assigned to the sensor node; a BSD processing unit assigning, to the sensor node itself, consecutive slots as many as necessary for transmitting a broadcast message from a slot corresponding to itself at the slot start location on the basis of the received BSD assigning message, and assigning, to a child node, slots remained after assigning to the sensor node itself; and a message transmitting unit generating a new BSD assignment message including slot assignment information on slots assigned to the child node.
