Disclosed are a molten zinc plating device capable of efficiently discharging floating foreign substances in a snout and a control method to discharge the floating foreign substances in the snout using the same. The molten zinc plating device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a plating bath filled with molten zinc plating solution at a predetermined height; a sink roll mounted in the plating bath for switching a progress direction of a strip deposited from an oblique direction of the plating bath into a vertical direction; a snout mounted in order for one end to be deposited in the molten zinc plating solution and having a snout dam opened/closed on both sides in order for the strip to pass through; a dross pump for discharging a molten metal in the snout to the outside the snout; and a position level meter mounted on the top separated from the plating bath and for separately measuring a molten metal level in the plating bath and the position of a dam level.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014
