The present invention relates to a device for using a CATV network to manage a public lamp, which is to provide an electronic energy meter for every public lamp and transmit meter reading data to a management server via the CATV network. In addition, the present invention turns on and off the public lamp by turning on and off a lead-in power line in response to a switch control command received from the management server via the CATV network. According to the present invention, the device enables individual agents who manage public lamps such as the competent district office or an apartment management office to remotely control and monitor various public lamps, and allow users to pay the electric fee of the public lamps based on the amount of the usage in order to induce energy saving.
