The present invention relates to a novel Lactobacillus paracasei mutant with L-lactic acid fermentation activity and to a method for producing L-lactic acid using the same. According to the present invention, the productivity and production yield of the lactic acid are similar to a case where lactic acid ferments using original strain while the optical purity can be increased over 98%. In addition, a composition for producing lactic acid including mutants can use cheap corn steep liquor as a nitrogen source, thereby being able to reduce fermentation costs.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014
