The present invention discloses a donor film for laser induced thermal imaging which comprises a base layer, a photothermal conversion layer, a protection layer, a transfer layer, and additionally includes a light diffusing layer which is laminated on either an upper side or a lower side of the photothermal conversion layer or on both sides of the photothermal conversion layer. The light diffusing layer is laminated close to the photothermal layer, which is one of the components of the donor film, so that a laser beam applied to the donor film can be uniformly irradiated by the light diffusing layer on the photothermal conversion layer. Therefore, heat on the photothermal conversion layer is uniformly dissipated by the laser beam, and thus the donor film for laser induced thermal imaging uniformly transfers an image transfer element, for example an organic light emitting substance, and controls a width of the image transfer to be constant so that defection of the image transfer can be minimized.
