The present invention relates to a novel rhodococcus sp. YSPW03 strain and to a method for removing perchlorate using the same. The novel rhodococcus sp. YSPW03 strain isolated from a digestion tank of a sewage and wastewater treatment plant in Wonju, Kangwon Province can significantly remove a high concentration of perchlorate in a short time as compared with various perchlorate reducing microorganisms already known. Thus, the present invention can be usefully applied in a biological process for removing a high concentration of perchlorate included in wastewater, sewage, rivers, soil, and the like.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014
