The present invention relates to a switch control circuit, a power supply device including the same, and a method for driving the power supply device. The power supply device includes: a first switch; a second switch which is connected to the first switch in series; a resonant capacitor that is connected to a contact point where the first switch is connected to the second switch, and generates resonant currents; a sensing circuit which generates a first sensed voltage, resulted from the resonant currents, when the resonant currents are positive; and a switch control circuit which senses the resonant currents using the first sensed voltage at a point of turn-off of the first switch at each switching cycle of the first switch so as to detect failure of zero voltage switching.
