The present invention relates to a surface wave speed measuring apparatus which includes an ultrasonic transmitting probe and an ultrasonic receiving probe in order to measure concrete strength by measuring the speed of surface waves flowing through the concrete, and can consistently adhere to the surface of the concrete when installed in a mold. The surface wave speed measuring apparatus comprises a frame (20); an ultrasonic transmitting probe (10); a first contact plate (11); an ultrasonic receiving probe (12); and a second contact plate (13). Multiple combining rods (21) protrude from the frame (20). Penetrating holes (115) are formed on the first contact plate (11) and the second contact plate (13). The top surface of the frame (20) is combined with the first contact plate (11) and the second contact plate (13). Coil type elastic spring members (22) cover the combining rods (21) respectively when the combining rods (21) protrude by penetrating the penetrating holes (115) respectively. Then, a locking member (23) is fastened to the top of the elastic spring member (22) so that the bottom of contact units (17), protruding higher than the bottom of the frame (20), can be in contact with surface of the concrete (C). Therefore, when the first contact plate (11) and the second contact plate (13) retreat toward the top surface of the frame (20), elastic pressurizing force from the elastic spring member (22) can push each of the first contact plate (11) and the second contact plate (13) back to the bottom surface of the frame (20).
