Disclosed are a handover method for supporting communications of a high speed mobile terminal and a distributed antenna system performing the same. The handover method performed in a first digital unit of a distributed antenna system includes a step of determining whether a plurality of serving radio units providing a service to a mobile terminal are all a shared radio unit shared in the digital units; and a step of performing handover on the mobile terminal when all of the serving radio units are the shared radio unit. Therefore, the present invention easily performs the handover on the mobile terminal moving at high speed and guarantees a service quality on the high speed mobile terminal by minimizing a delay time due to the handover.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
