Disclosed are a method for controlling an object by using steady-state visual evoked response potential and a device thereof. The method for controlling the object by connecting a projection display device comprises: assigning and projecting a visual stimulus pattern for a control object through a display of the projection display device; measuring brainwave signals according to the gaze of a user for the projected visual stimulus pattern; and selecting or controlling the control object according to an analysis result which analyzes the measured brainwave signals.
