PURPOSE: An antimicrobial agent which includes an extract of natural plant Augouardia letestui is provided to have an antimicrobial composition which has an antibacterial effect specifically to existing Staphylococcus aureus by producing the antimicrobial agent which is nontoxic to a human body; and has fewer side effects; and which is a new antibacterial agent thereby using the natural plant which is not chemical method. CONSTITUTION: An antimicrobial composition includes an extract of Augouardia letestui as an active ingredient. The extract of Augouardia letestui is comprised by extracting each part of root, stem, and leaf. The extract of Augouardia letestui is extracted by water and organic solvent. An antimicrobial composition for Staphylococcus aureus is used by mixing one or two of a group includes ampicillin, norfloxacin, ciproloxacin, erythromycin or nisin in the antimicrobial composition. A medical product comprises the antimicrobial composition. A drug comprises the antimicrobial composition.
