Disclosed are a method and system for participating an interactive broadcasting program using a friend setting function of a mobile instant messenger. A program enabler service method providing an interactive service for user participation in a broadcast program may comprise: receiving information related to the broadcast program, and generating script-type information for the broadcast program from the inputted information; opening a chat room for the broadcast program by setting a user who wants to participate in the broadcasting program as a friend using a mobile instant messenger (IM) enabler; and reading the generated script-type information by being linked to the broadcast program and providing the information to the user through the chat room.
