CONSTITUTION: A primer set for identifying peach varieties contains one or more oligonucleotide primer sets selected among: an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 1 and 2; an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 3 and 4; an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 5 and 6; an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 7 and 8; an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 9 and 10; an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 11 and 12; an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 13 and 14; an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 15 and 16; an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 17 and 18; an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 19 and 20; an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 21 and 22; an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 23 and 24; an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 25 and 26; and an oligonucleotide primer set of sequence numbers 27 and 28. A method for identifying peach varieties comprises the steps of amplifying genomic DNA derived from a peach using the primer set; and distinguishing peach varieties.
