IMPROVED ENCODING/DECODING OF DIGITAL SIGNALS, ESPECIALLY IN VECTOR QUANTIZATION WITH PERMUTATION CODES

The method involves representing combinatorial expressions by prime factor decompositions, where the expressions comprise a quotient of whole numerator by whole denominator. The expressions are determined by preliminary reading pre-recorded representations of decompositions of selected whole numbers, where the pre-recorded representations comprise the representation of factorial value decompositions. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program comprising a set of instructions to perform a method of coding and decoding a digital signal (2) a digital signal coding and decoding device comprising a memory unit.
