The present invention relates to a system for measuring the pupil of an eye using a smart device and a method for measuring the pupil of an eye using the system. More specifically, the system includes: a convex lens unit (100) for acquiring an image of the pupil in an expanded state; a light emitting unit (200) including a first LED light source (210) for expanding the pupil and a second LED light source (22) for contracting the pupil; and an image processing unit (300) for processing the image of the pupil taken by a camera included in a smart device to calculate the ratio of the contracted size to the expanded size of the pupil. According to the system for measuring the pupil of an eye using a smart device and the method for measuring the pupil of an eye using the system suggested in the present invention, by including the convex lens unit (100), the light emitting unit (200), the image processing unit (300), a filter unit (400), a power supply unit (500), and a switch unit (600), it is possible to eliminate spatial limitation as portability is secured by using a smart device including a camera and at the same time enable an ordinary person to easily measure the size of the pupil and diagnose health conditions because of easy operation.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014
